> Answers to common questions about Contractor Co-Pilot's pricing plans, free trial, AI estimate limits, payment methods, and what happens when you cancel.

Everything you need to know about how Contractor Co-Pilot billing works — from picking a plan to canceling your subscription. If you have a question that isn't covered here, email [support@contractor-co-pilot.com](mailto:support@contractor-co-pilot.com).

## Plans and pricing

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Is there a free trial?">
    Yes. Every paid plan includes a **7-day free trial** with full access to all features — no credit card required to start.

    You can also download the mobile app and run **5 free AI Quick Estimates** without creating an account at all. To save estimates, send proposals, or access the web platform, you'll need to choose a paid plan.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What plans are available?">
    Contractor Co-Pilot offers four plans:

    | Plan | Best for |
    | - | - |
    | **Mobile** | Solo contractors who need quick on-site estimates from their phone. Includes 5 free AI Quick Estimates in the app. |
    | **Starter** | Individual contractors moving to a full web workflow with AI pricing search. |
    | **Professional** | Contractors who want to own their cost data with a pre-loaded cost database (materials, equipment, and labor for 8 trades). |
    | **Business** | Teams that need office seats, field seats, and unlimited AI estimates under fair use. |

    Visit [contractor-co-pilot.com/pricing](https://contractor-co-pilot.com/pricing) for current prices and a full feature comparison.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What happens when I hit my AI estimate limit?">
    It depends on your plan:

    * **Mobile / Starter** — You'll be prompted to upgrade when you reach your limit.
    * **Professional** — A soft cap applies. There's a brief pause before your limit resets rather than a hard cutoff.
    * **Business** — Unlimited AI estimates under fair use. No interruptions for normal business volume.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does the cost database come with every plan?">
    No. The pre-loaded cost database — with materials, equipment, and labor scaffolding for 8 trades — is a **Professional** (and above) feature.

    Mobile and Starter plans use AI pricing search instead, which lets you start estimating right away without building a catalog from scratch. Upgrade to Professional when you want full control over your own cost data.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is pricing per user or per company?">
    Pricing is **per user, per month**. Mobile and Starter are solo plans designed for one person. Professional and Business include a combination of office seats and field seats for your crew.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Do you offer annual billing?">
    Yes. Choosing annual billing saves approximately **10%** compared to month-to-month. You can switch between monthly and annual at any time from **Settings → Billing**.
  </Accordion>

## Managing your subscription

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Can I change plans?">
    Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time from **Settings → Billing → Change Plan**. Changes take effect immediately:

    * **Upgrading** — You're charged the prorated difference for the remainder of your billing period.
    * **Downgrading** — A prorated credit is applied to your next billing cycle.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I cancel anytime?">
    Yes. There are no long-term contracts or cancellation fees. Cancel from **Settings → Billing → Cancel Subscription**. Your account stays active until the end of your current billing period.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I update my payment method?">
    Go to **Settings → Billing** and click **Update Payment Method**. Enter your new card details and save. The new card will be charged on your next billing date.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Where can I find my invoices?">
    All past invoices are available under **Settings → Billing**. You can view and download them at any time.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What happens to my data if I cancel?">
    Your data is preserved for **90 days** after cancellation. During that window, you can reactivate your account and pick up where you left off.

    After 90 days, your data is permanently deleted. If you want to keep a copy, export your estimates, proposals, and client records before canceling.

    <Tip>
      Need your data exported? Contact [support@contractor-co-pilot.com](mailto:support@contractor-co-pilot.com) before your 90-day grace period ends and we can help.
